Path of the Good Men

A newly created path that commemorates the flight of the Cathars (also known as Albigensians or "good men"), who were expelled from Languedoc as a result of the crusade promoted by the medieval Church and executed by the King of France. The background of this itinerary (which has several branches) is the presence in Occitania, seven centuries ago, of Cathar spirituality, which was considered a heresy by Pope Innocent III. The crusade against the Cathars was ruthlessly led by Simó de Montfort and led to the defeat of the supposed heretics and the end of Occitania as a country. Some of them, in their flight, arrived in Majorca after the Conquest of 1229.
