What is it?

Who promotes it?

It was created by Iru, SL in 2013, by the hand of Joan Avellaneda. It has remained for six years within the Palma Educa offer of the Palma City Council. From 2013 to January 2019, 201 routes had been carried out, with the participation of 5,025 secondary school students.

What's pursuing?

To disseminate the figure of Ramon Llull in the city where he was born, in 1232, through significant places in Llull's memory (temples, tombstones, images, facts, legends, manuscripts, the tomb,...).

What is it like?

Guided walking tour through the streets of the historic centre of Palma, aimed at secondary school students. The activity lasts 1h 30' and has the following stops: portal of the church of Sant Miquel (presentation of Ramon Llull), Plaza Mayor (nativity and historical context), church of Santa Eulàlia (conversion), La Sapiència (lighting, Art, Lullism), Diocesan Library (observation of original manuscripts) and basilica of Sant Francesc (tomb and cloister). There is a website associated with the route: http://www.rutasramonllull.com/, which is a fairly complete informative portal, aimed mainly at young people. It was also promoted by Iru SL, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, in 2011. The contents are also by Joan Avellaneda. It includes the Ramon Llull routes in Palma, Mallorca and the Mediterranean. The graphic design is very attractive and presents a great profusion of images. It is accessible in six languages: Catalan, Spanish, Galician, Basque, English and German.
